JoAnne Ernsberger, Director
With a sincere interest in empowering families and children, as well as special interest groups, and after working with children and families for years, it became time to formalize the Mission. "The Backyard Barn Project", part of equissential Growth Strategies, offers programs for children and families - with a veterans' outreach -- all in the presence of Horses and Nature.
WHY THE HORSE? Horses are masters at relationships. The herd dynamics they live by teach us much about them, and ourselves. Horses do not judge, they are impartial witnesses who give feedback to our intentions and motives in ways that are amazing. And they make community seem quite easy.
WHAT WE DO: We spend time caring for the horses and hens. We walk, talk, and promote strong communication and bonds that transform and enlighten. Always grateful for our environment, we seek ways to inspire responsibility and respect for one another.
The Backyard Barn depends on responsible people to help carry out this vision. We are all in this together - everyone is important and valued!
