Discovery in Recovery
We don't have to see the whole staircase, just to take the first step."
In the world of Recovery, it is recognized that each treatment’s focus is the same: helping people to rehabilitate from the addiction so that they can lead a productive and drug-free life, with positive outcomes. In equine-assisted learning, the person regularly interacts with horses over a period of time. It is non-mounted, meaning no riding or experience with horses is needed. Horses appreciate and partner with us “as we are”. Horses don’t judge, nor do they lie; being herd animals they interact all during their days with congruence, honesty and deliberation, making them ideal Partners and Teachers.
Veteran's Victory - This is our chance to honor those who have served - and their families - and guide them on a new journey of healing and empowerment, with focus on rich and fulfilling outcomes. Equines are adept at assisting us with self-regulation, they promote partnering and decrease stress. Therapeutic Horsemanship is embraced, no agenda other than peace, awareness, healing.
Joyful Living - Seniors come out and relax, observe the herd or interact with grooming, feeding, and feeling the joy and peace of nature, the hens and our horses. It is a mindful, partnered experience that is fulfilling.
